County Sligo’s finest export, Dervish are one of the great bands ever to have come out of Ireland. Fronted as ever by entrancing singer Cathy Jordan – whose power to charm an audience is surely a match for anybody in the whole of Ireland – Dervish draw from seemingly limitless depths of talent, finesse, subtlety and fiery energy, making them as complete a band as is to be found anywhere in the tradition.
