Free Master Gardener Seminar: Seed Saving

Presented by the Lane County Master Gardener Association

It’s time to start putting together your seed order for your wonderful garden! Why not think about which seeds are best for saving for yourself? Our speaker, Andrea Mull (Territorial Seed Co.), has been an organic gardener for almost 25 years. She will discuss some of the methods for seed collection and preservation as well as identifying which seeds are safe to collect and when methods such as isolation or bagging are necessary. She will also look at the definitions of self-fertile, out breeding, hybrid and heirloom.
