Dar Williams
An inspired songwriter who writes folk songs from a unique, insightful perspective, Dar Williams takes pains to avoid the coy and the quirky; her songwriting and performing style has been compared to that of Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez, but with a few acidic and at times hilarious twists. In 2010, she released the career-spanning two-disc set Many Great Companions. Her 9th studio project, In The Time Of The Gods, appeared in 2012. Her latest project, the brilliantly conceived Emerald, was released May 5, 2015. This will be her first third appearance at The Shedd.
