This exciting new program from Singing Creek Educational Center brings Native American culture and children’s education to the Creswell, Cottage Grove and Springfield libraries this fall.

Singing Creek Educational Center is bringing this exciting new program of Native American culture and children’s education to the Creswell, Cottage Grove and Springfield libraries this fall. Trained SCEC staff will lead these free sessions for children aged 6 – 10. Each class will include a book reading and craft project, utilizing curriculum from the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde (CTGR). There will also be a cultural event at each library in November with Deitrich Peters of the Grand Ronde Tribe who has graciously agreed to share elements of his regalia and will play flute music, talk about his culture, and take questions.

Cottage Grove dates: 3:30 pm on Oct 11th, 23rd, and Nov 8th.  6:30-7:30 Nov 17th.
