From Written Wonders to Daring Drawings: Learn to Make Your Own Comic with Artist Jen Hernandez

Youth Write Club helps kids transform their writing into illustrations on Oct. 14, 2023

WHAT:

October Write Club (For Youth): Thumbnailing Scenes for Graphic Novel and Comics with Jen Hernandez

In this month’s write club, participating youths will transform a story they’ve already written into a one-page comic!

Instructor and artist Jen Hernandez will guide youths on how to frame images to express characters’ feelings and visually ground the scene in which the story takes place. They will also offer sources of inspiration from other young adult graphic novels.

At the end of this whimsical, hands-on workshop, kids will leave with their own one-page comic or mini zine based on their unique, written stories!
