As part of the Lane Arts Council Visual Arts WEEK, the 5th Street Public Market presents paintings created by its own staff during the time of the coronavirus shutdown and isolation. Some 15 staff members from throughout Obie Companies produced more than 60 large-canvas works which will be on display during Visual Arts Week Aug. 7-15 at four locations throughout The Market including Bennett Winery, J. Scott Cellars, Sweet Cheeks Winery and The Eateries. Painting proved to be a healthy creative outlet during a stressful time. Some of these paintings will be displayed in the new Gordon Hotel when it opens in the fall.
