Metamorphose
Metamorphose, Eugene's fastest growing Earth Day event, is now in its fifth year! Metamorphose focuses on Education, Activities, Re-purposed art, Trendy fashion, and Healthy living.
St. Vincent de Paul Society of Lane County looks to lead the way as Eugene's leader in recycling and Earth friendly practices. As such, we look to bring together community members to engage their neighbors in fun activities with a purpose. Vendor booths, organizations, and artists will all be able to share their knowledge, experiences, and pieces with our guests. Metamorphose will unfold in three phases: Open Gallery, Happy Hour, and the Metamorphose Upcycle Fashion Show and Awards Ceremony. ENVIA will host the Metamorphose Fashion Show. This up-cycled challenge pushes designers to create exciting and trendy outfits using only re-purposed materials provided by businesses and donors. Daytime activities (noon-5:00 p.m.) are free. Paid admission begins at 5:30 p.m. and is $6 for adults and $4 for youth and seniors.
Vendors will offer a variety of environmentally significant products and services, and tips for a more earth-friendly lifestyle. Activities are planned to show people of all ages simple steps they can take to help the environment. Upstairs on the mezzanine, the Eugene Science Center will have kid-friendly activity tables. The City of Eugene will have a "fix-it fair" for clothing. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
We look to see you Earth Day weekend!
