Overcome Benefit Concert

The dancers of All That! Dance Company present “Overcome” - a benefit dance concert dedicated to the protection of those who have the least among us. Dancers will explore thematic elements that include the refugee crisis, homelessness, poverty, and need. Themes of hope, love, and community will be woven throughout the concert. Eight female dancers will grace the stage to an instrumental version of “How Far I’ll Go” from Disney’s hit Moana as they move through the waters towards a new land. Soloist Gloria Rear will take the stage with a poignant representation of those living on the streets in need with her powerful contemporary piece that recently won the Spotlight Dance Cup 2017 Outstanding Choreography award. An energetic group of twenty teen dancers will storm the floor with a mash-up of your favorite songs from the musical “Newsies” to show camaraderie and friendship. Guest performers from Leap of Faith Dance studio will travel from Roseburg to perform their piece “Glow,” reflecting their powerful role as warriors of peace. ATD is partnering with a studio family who has created opportunities for children in Cambodia who have been abused or abandoned to have a safe, supportive home. They are currently in the process of building a new home to protect these children who are without families and all proceeds from this concert will be donated to support their work.
