Aloha Friday with Larry Rivera
This month's Aloha Friday features Larry Rivera, an 86-year-old old-school Hawaiian entertainer. Uncle Larry is a cultural legend on Kaua'i, and he will sing and tell stories from his 70-year career, working with Bing Crosby, Arthur Godfrey, Elvis Presley and many others.
The show is Friday, Oct. 21, 6:00-7:45 pm, at Whirled Pies Downtown (Cozmic), 199 W. 8th in Eugene. The show is preceded by a lively social hour, 5:00-6:00 pm, with music by Rick Bocko; Hawaiian food by Everyday Kine Grindz; pizza & drinks by Whirled Pies; lomilomi massage; and a crafts table featuring Hawaiian print bags by Susan Ogawa. The show is free, but donations are appreciated. Aloha!
