ArchaeologyFest Film Series: Best of 2016!

ArchaeologyFest Film Series: Best of 2016 is coming to Eugene, OR, the week days of October 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th, bringing you eight of the best films from the 2016 The Archaeology Channel International Film Festival. The series will take place at the Broadway Metro with doors opening for seating at 6:30 PM and films starting at 7:00 PM. Each night will consist of two films with the total viewing time running approximately two hours. These films explore various stories relating to cultural heritage and exhibit the wonderful diversity of human cultures, both past and present. Films being shown include Roman Engineering: Cities; Viking Women: Jova’s Heritage and the Fall of Haithabu; The Jewish Cemetery; Monuments Revealed: Petra, Capital of the Desert; Stolen Warriors; First Footprints; The X-ray Time Machine; Monuments Revealed: The Secrets of the Colosseum. All proceeds from ArchaeologyFest Film Series go toward funding the 2017 TAC International Film Festival held in downtown Eugene in May 3-7, 2017. Ticket prices range from $6 to $9 and are available for purchase on the Broadway Metro website (www.broadwaymetro.com) or at the door. All films to be shown were screened at TAC International Film and Video Festival 2016, which took place in May 2016. TAC International Film Festival is one of only two international competitions for its genre in the entire Western Hemisphere. ALI received 100 film entries from 26 countries for the 13th annual edition of TAC Festival.
