Illuminated Human & Electric Powered Art In Motion

EUGENE BRiGHT Parade is a dazzling showcase of illuminated art in motion created by local artists, schools, nonprofits, and businesses. Free and family-friendly, this community event lights up the streets of Downtown Eugene on Saturday, September 26 at 7:30 pm starting and ending at Pearl Street and 8th Avenue. The 2026 theme is KiNDNESS in partnership with Bekindr.org. Be there to experience what compassion can build, or step forward to help create it yourself. Either way you'll help this year's light shine a little brighter for all. And don't miss the AfterParty at the Farmers Market Pavilion until 10:00 pm with more illuminated art and experiences, food and beverages, and dance music!

The greater Eugene-Springfield Lane County area and anyone in town visiting!

History

Founded in 2023

Eugene has been known for amazing parades as part of the Eugene Celebration, a three-day festival that thrived between 1983 and 2014. Eugene is also known for its amazing unofficial goodwill ambassadors, the S.L.U.G. (Society for the Ubiquitous Gastropod) Queens, active since 1983, crowning our Raining Queen annually on the second Friday of August. The EUG Parade arose in 2017 as part of Sunday Streets and found audiences delighted through 2019. After the pandemic, a new evening parade in downtown Eugene got its start in 2023 eventually being known as the EUGENE BRiGHT Parade, now in its fourth year.
