Dad Snacks

06/15/2022 ● By Kelli Matthews
Need a last-minute idea for a snack-loving dad? Or just looking for some different ideas for a summer of snack-happy kids? We recently tried four different snacks for our Father’s Day Gift Guide to share with you.

Manly Nut Box

Is Dad a little nutty? This sampler from Sugar Plum is an excellent mix of hand-crafted, kettle-cooked nuts. The variety includes Taproom Nut Mix, salted cashews, Honey Sea Salt Almonds, Coconut Curry Peanuts, Mexican Cocoa Peanuts, and Thai chili peanuts. It didn’t take long for our Dad Reviewers to cruise through this sampler and it was a big hit with the kids, too. ($45)

Johnson’s Popcorn

Whether Dad is a lifelong west coaster or a transplant, we can all appreciate Ocean City, New Jersey’s own Johnson’s Popcorn. A taste of the boardwalk! Gift options let you choose your favorite flavors like Caramel Corn, Cheddar, Peanut Crunch and Salty-n-Sandy in tubs or tins. Dad Reviewer loved the Peanut Crunch and the kids devoured the Caramel Corn.

Tidbits Fun Bites Meringue Cookies

These meringue cookies are sweet and light without the guilt. They’re sugar-free, lactose-free, gluten-free, soy-free, cholesterol-free and non-GMO. The bite-sized treats come 40-pieces in a resealable bag and come in a wide range of flavors. Our favorites were Strawberry and Birthday Cake. And if you’ve got a dad that usually avoids sweets thanks to diet constraints, they also have keto-friendly and diabetic-friendly options.

Rule Breaker Snacks

Vegan Dad doesn’t have to be sweets-free Dad. Rule Breaker Snacks are plant-based, gluten-free and allergen-free. Chickpeas are the first ingredient and they’re just 100 calories and 4 grams of added sugar per serving. So have a brownie for breakfast! Rule Breaker Snacks has options for every taste from Strawberry Shortcake to traditional Chocolate Chunk.
