The Shedd Institute presents an evening of new music by Dave Douglas for a new collaboration with The Westerlies, a brass quartet comprised of four childhood friends from Seattle, Washington — Riley Mulherkar and Zubin Hensler on trumpet, and Andy Clausen and Willem de Koch on trombone. Douglas explores great American themes in this rich panoply of warm brass sounds.
