2016 B.E.A.R. (Be Excited About Reading) Faire

The Emerald Empire Reading Council is presenting their annual B.E.A.R. (Be Excited About Reading) Faire, a literacy filled afternoon for children in Lane County. The event will be held at the Springfield Public Library Atrium on Saturday April 16th from 1:00-3:00. Come join the fun as we share great picture books and matching activities. Each child will have the opportunity to pick a book of their choice from a large selection of engaging (new) books. Those dressing up as storybook characters will receive an extra book! This is a marvelous outing and adventure for the whole family. There will be book related activities and crafts, trivia questions about books and well-known characters, storytelling, and reading with children. Mother Goose will also be there to share rhymes with the youngest and reading tips with parents. Get ready to Be Excited About Reading! See you there!
