Amici’s final concert of the season June 6 at the Shedd brings back audience favorite Guy Few, trumpet, along with Nadina Mackie Jackson, bassoon, for our second residency of the season. It will include educational outreach programs in Eugene, Springfield, and Cottage Grove, free masterclasses and workshops, and a concert that features works with themes from nature. On the program will be a Vivaldi bassoon concerto and modern works by Bissell (“Under the Apple Boughs”), Buhr (“Man Will Only Grieve”), and Welcher (“The Wind Won’t Listen”), as well as a trumpet concerto by Leopold Mozart and short works by Shostakovich.
