Cascades Raptor Center invites families to take part in our second Family Nature Discovery Day of the summer. Families can create original pieces of art using simply a picture frame, some sand and beautiful objects found in nature! Families should remember to bring cameras to snap a picture of their artistic creations as, like most things in nature, the art is ephemeral. Participants will learn that beauty is everywhere around them in nature. Activities are recommended for children between the ages of 7-12 and children must be accompanied by an adult. Cost of activities are general admission to CRC (CRC members receive free admission) and a $2 activity charge for children who are participating in activities. If you ride your bike or hike the Ridgeline Trial to CRC your activity fee will be waived! This event is sponsored by KVAL and Umpqua Bank.
