Are you ready to write your own adventure? Join Wordcrafters in Eugene for Fiction Fantastic, a Young Writers Contest for Lane County Students!
Founded in 2014 as the Young Writers Short Fiction Contest, Fiction Fantastic is an annual fiction contest for upper elementary, middle, and high school students in Lane County, Oregon. This contest is free to students attending public, private, and homeschool.
FUN FACTS
In 2018…
- we had over 170 entries from students across the county.
- the total number of words submitted by contestants was 170,383.
- elementary school students submitted the most stories.
2019 Prizes
Cash prizes are awarded for First, Second, and Third Place in each grade level category, plus there is a very cool award ceremony when the winners are announced at Barnes and Noble by our Celebrity Judge, the amazing, the award-winning, the sci-fi novelist, Fonda Lee!
