Living History Day
Shelton McMurphey Johnson House
Join us for an exciting day of historical reenactment, traditional craft demonstrations and instruction, and, of course, ice cream!
We will be welcoming living history performers, spinners and other textile arts demonstrators, the Eugene Button Club, our neighbors from MECCA leading children’s crafts, Chinook Jargon (chinuk wawa) teachers, a blacksmith, and more! The Old Time Fiddlers will play at 11:30 a.m. Costumed interpreters will share their enthusiasm for history and teach you about life in the past. And, of course, the House will be open top to bottom, with guides to answer your questions about its history. It should be a great day out.
Admission is $6 for adults, $3 for children, with a discounted family rate of $15 for family members from the same household
