Wetlands Stewardship

Do you enjoy water, recreation or wildlife? Wetlands are nature's kidneys, always working to improve water quality. They also serve as important habitat for a diversity of wildlife while providing recreational opportunities for us humans.

Volunteers will be weed wrenching small ash trees and pulling other invasive plants to make room for native prairie plants. Volunteer Coordinator Carrie Karl lead an educational walk through the wetlands to scout for wildlife and plants.

This is a family-friendly event – no experience necessary, but wet boots are required. Please RSVP so we can be sure to have plenty of tools, gloves and refreshments.

For more information or to RSVP, contact Natural Area Volunteer Coordinator Carrie Karl at [email protected] or 541-682-4850.
