Next Aloha Friday is February 16 at Whirled Pies, 199 W. 8th in Eugene. Social Hour, 5:00-6:00 pm: Pre-show music is by the Jim G trio, plus Hawaiian food by Everyday Kine Grindz, and pizza and libations by Whirled Pies. Main Show, 6:00-8:00 pm: A fundraising show and auction by two University of Oregon student groups: Hui O Hawai'i (students from Hawai'i) and the new group Kalapu Pasifika (students from other Pacific Island nations). The show will include plenty of hula, as well as native dances from Tahiti, Rapa Nui, the Philippines, and Aotearoa, plus silent auction and live auction of gift baskets, and video about the clubs.
