Good News!
A smash hit in 1927 and again in 1993, Good News! is a playful sendup college life filled with classics and forgotten treasures of the American Songbook from the pen of that fabulous songwriting team Henderson, DeSylva & Brown. Our story is the tale of undergrad life during the Roaring Twenties…at fictional Tait College, where football star Tom Marlowe falls for studious tutor Connie Lane, vivacious flapper Babe O’Day pursues third-string player Bobby Randall, and Professor Charlotte Kenyon rekindles an old flame with Coach Bill Johnson, all in good humor, fun-filled dance, and such timeless icons of 1920s sheiks and flappers as “The Varsity Drag,” “The Best Things In Life Are Free,” “Button Up Your Overcoat,” “You’re the Cream in My Coffee,” and “Life Is Just a Bowl of Cherries”.
