Glow Variety Show

A Benefit for Trauma Healing Project

Glow Variety Show Illuminates the Hult Center November 19th & 20th Eugene, Oregon - November 19th at 7:00 p.m. and November 20th at 2pm, 2016 – The 3rd Annual Glow Variety Show returns to Lane County with new and dazzling performances at the Hult Center. The show is an eclectic and heartwarming experience for the whole family with Native American hoop dancing, fire spinning, acrobatics, comedy, dance and music. The show, known for its diversity and frequent hilarity, ups the ante in this third installment with the inclusion of New York based Native American hoop dancer, Ty Defoe, Grammy award winner in 2011. Defoe's vision is literally a "Circle of Art", a "Hoop of Life" that connects and engages the global community without boundaries. Founder and main choreographer Anna Miller describes Glow as an effort to “inspire human connection by bringing people of all ages together to share experiences and heartfelt feelings through performance art.” The show highlights up-and-coming superstars and well-honed professionals through fire, music, dance, acrobatics, and comedy. Excited yet? It gets better. Miller donates the proceeds from Glow to the Trauma Healing Project, a non-profit providing healing arts services to low-income survivors of trauma through acupuncture, yoga, massage and Reiki. Of this generosity Miller states, “[I want] to live in a world where all people have access to healing and to their own glowing intelligence and joy.” Glow’s international, intergenerational, and interdisciplinary lineup includes Ty Defoe, Trio Voronezh, Button Will, Michael Boyer, Anna Miller, Gwen, Sabine, Jacob Brown, Debbie Collis, Facinet Sylla and his family, Syllatastic.
