Free Class: Caring for Aging Loved Ones - Positive Approach to Alzheimer's and Dementia Care
On Thursday, October 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Oregon Care Partners will host a free, instructor-led class in Eugene titled “Positive Approach to Alzheimer's and Dementia Care (PAC)” designed to help anyone who cares for an aging Oregonian learn more about quality improvement strategies and medication safety within a care setting. This one-day class is free of charge, thanks to funding from the State of Oregon and partnerships with trusted non-profits including the Alzheimer’s Association and Oregon Health Care Association.
The class is designed to help professional caregivers and others who care for aging Oregonians optimize resident care through teamwork, medication review and positive communication. A professional instructor will share real-world experience in an interactive classroom environment. This class is free, thanks to funding by the State of Oregon.
This class is designed for anyone who cares for an aging Oregonian. Individuals who provide care for an aging family member or loved one, as well as those who work in professional caregiver settings, public safety or social work, are invited to attend this free class.
